~~Chuck Lakefield started out in broadcasting at the tender age of 14 at Wisconsin State University River Falls. After graduating from Menasha High School, and a short stint in the Air Force, Lakefield returned and started his 43-year career in broadcasting.
In addition to radio broadcasting, Lakefield has been a TV weatherman in Buffalo, New York, and was a fill-in host for the AM Buffalo television show. He has hosted top-rated radio shows in San Diego, Washington DC, Milwaukee and Portland, Oregon.. and was a nominee for Radio & Records Large Market Personality of the Year!
Now, in addition to the Morning Show at WNAM, Chuck is thoroughly enjoying his new career as a Customer Service Agent for Silver Star Brands (formerly Miles Kimball) in Oshkosh.
He continues to entertain crowds as an emcee, DJ and Auctioneer, and he still regularly works with many charities throughout the area. He also has a DJ service for company parties, weddings and emceeing.
On a personal note, Chuck and his wife, Barb, have been together 40 years, are the proud parents of two, grandparents of 9 (soon to be Great Grandparents), and best friends of two “4-leggers” – Howie and Ellie … and Louie the Lovebird!
