DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – The De Pere Police Department is warning residents to be on the alert after reports of two men posing as city inspectors and attempting to enter their homes.
According to a Facebook post from the De Pere Police Department, the men, described as being in their 20s and carrying clipboards, claim to be checking attics and other parts of homes for compliance with supposed new government regulations.

Police say there are no such inspections currently being conduced by the City of De Pere. Officials are urging residents not to let anyone into their home unless they can confirm the person is a legitimate city employee.
