MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – What has been a near-dream start to his MLB career has become even more of a fantasy tale for Brewers rookie right-hander Jacob Misiorowski.
According to a post by both the Brewers and MLB on X, formerly known as Twitter, the young flamethrowing pitcher has been named to the National League All-Star team.

After just five starts (an MLB record), the stud 23-year-old pitcher is headed to Atlanta on Tuesday as part of the National League All-Star team.
The 6-foot-7 flamethrower was named to the team shortly after 9:40 p.m., and he’ll replace Cubs left-hander Matthew Boyd on the All-Star roster.
The rookie sensation debuted a month ago on Saturday, debuting with a dominating effort against the St. Louis on June 12. The phenom started his career out with 11-straight no-hit innings, with five against the rival Cardinals and six against the Minnesota Twins on June 20.
Then, he outshone Pirates’ ace and reigning NL Rookie of the Year Paul Skenes on June 25, pitching five innings of two-hit, shutout baseball with eight punchouts.
He had a rough outing against the Mets on July 2, before continuing his historic start with a dominant effort against the reigning World Series champions on July 8. In that game, he allowed a leadoff home run to reigning NL MVP Shohei Ohtani, before proceeding to strikeout 12 Dodgers and lead the Brewers amidst a series sweep against Los Angeles.

The youngster’s dominance, aided by his fastball that has clocked as high as 103 miles per hour, has since been rewarded.
Misiorowski becomes the quickest player to ever reach an MLB All-Star game following his debut (five games), surpassing fellow NL Central pitcher Paul Skenes’ record (11 games) last year.
