“Both Noah and Scott were strong students, being named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team in their first year at Marquette for maintaining a 3.0 grade point average,” Dr. Kimo Ah Yun wrote in the letter.
Marquette held a Mass at 1 p.m. to allow students and the campus community to mourn and come together as one amidst the tragedy.
“Please keep Noah and Scott’s parents, siblings and families, and the Marquette Athletics and college communities in your prayers,” the statement said. “Noah and Scott’s lives were taken too soon and we share in the heartbreak of their teammates, coaches and those who knew them personally.”
In an update from the Marquette Athletics Department, it added that three other lacrosse student-athletes were hospitalized for injuries.
All home athletic events for the weekend were also canceled, and the crash is under investigation by the Milwaukee Police Department.
