GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Schreiber Foods is celebrating its 80th anniversary by giving back in a big way. The Green Bay-based company announced a $160,000 impact grant to support hunger relief efforts both locally and globally as part of its annual Week of Giving.
The donation includes $80,000 to Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization, and $80,000 to Rise Against Hunger, a nonprofit focused on ending hunger worldwide.

“This milestone anniversary is a moment to reflect on the people and communities who’ve supported us over the past eight decades,” said Schreiber President and CEO Ron Dunford. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back in a way that aligns with our values and helps nourish others.”
Feeding America and Rise Against Hunger will work with Schreiber to distribute the funds directly to food banks and hunger-relief programs in the regions where Schreiber operates. The company says the support will provide thousands of meals to families facing food insecurity heading into the holiday season.
“Schreiber’s commitment to fighting hunger is inspiring,” said Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, CEO of Feeding America. “This gift will be an incredibly impactful investment in thriving communities. On behalf of our Feeding America network, I am deeply grateful.”
As part of its Week of Giving, Schreiber welcomed Rise Against Hunger to its home office in Green Bay, where employees helped pack meals before presenting the donation.
“These meals will reach thousands of people, with a special focus on women caring for children and facing the challenges of prenatal care,” said Greg Roche, Regional Philanthropy Manager of Rise Against Hunger. “Schreiber’s support brings hope and helps families move from hunger toward lasting resilience.”

“Giving back is part of our DNA,” Dunford said. “Whether it’s through our products, our customers, or our people, we’re committed to making a difference.”
