LITTLE CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) – Despite a disappointing 4-3 loss against the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday evening, Brewers fans said they’re still confident that their team can win this series.
Dozens of fans made their way to the StoneYard Bar & Grill in Appleton for the game.
“Just the atmosphere, everybody together, everybody is yelling and clapping, just the camaraderie,” said Shane Herron from Appleton when asked why he came out to the restaurant to watch the game. “Just like the players being together and picking each other up. When you have fans together rooting for the same thing, it’s fun.”
“Just being together and going off of people’s energy,” said StoneYard Bar & Grill owner Bruce Williams. “The excitement of it all, the pitches, the hits, and the runs. The Miz (Brewer’s pitcher Jacob Misiorowski) last night with his amazing performance.”

Bruce Williams said he’s been trying to do fun things at the restaurant to celebrate the Brewers amazing season. On Wednesday night, it was free pocket pancakes for everybody who came out to watch the game.
“We had 99-cent wings for 99 wins, hoping they could sweep their last series,” Williams said, recalling the different specials they’ve had to celebrate the Brewers. “And now with them going 2-0 (against the Cubs in NLDS before Wednesday night), free pocket pancakes for everybody. For Pat Murphy, we’re giving them away today, and hopefully they can get the sweep.”

The Brewers chipped away after falling behind 4-1 to the Cubs in the first inning. However, the comeback fell short, and the Cubs forced a Game 4, which is Thursday evening at Wrigley Field.
If the Brewers win this series, they will earn a spot in the National League Championship Series for the first time since 2018.
