OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – Officers with the Oshkosh Police Department investigated several disturbances involving guns during a Pub Crawl event within the city on Saturday night.
According to the Oshkosh Police Department, the Pub Crawl is an unsanctioned bi-annual event that takes place around UW-Oshkosh.
Around 11:10 p.m., officers were called to the area of Scott Avenue and Cherry Street, after getting multiple reports that several men were allegedly showing and pointing firearms at people in the area.
Officers arrived and took a 17-year-old from Neenah into custody, saying they later allegedly found a loaded handgun “underneath his body.”
He was arrested for Possession of a Dangerous Weapon by a Person under 18, First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Resisting/Obstructing an Officer and Disorderly Conduct.
While officers were still in the area, a reportedly large disturbance involving roughly 100 people began. During this disturbance, an officer was reportedly knocked to the ground and suffered a head injury.
Shortly after, in the area of the 800 block of Scott Avenue, a Wisconsin State Trooper noticed a suspect who was allegedly involved in a battery complaint. The suspect reportedly fled on foot, and allegedly had a gun in his hand.

No other details were provided on the alleged gun that the 20-year-old reportedly had, but it is believed that the man dropped a black and gray backpack that has not been found.
