PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Wisconsin say a vehicle was recently stopped after officers observed children inside without proper car seats.
According to a release from the Pleasant Prairie Police Department, children must be in a car seat until they are at least 4 years old and 40 pounds and then they should be in a booster seat until they are 8 years old, 80 pounds, or more than 4 feet, 9 inches tall.

Officers who stopped the vehicle learned that the driver/parents did not have access to proper car seats. Police then took it upon themselves to find donated booster seats to give to the family so that they could drive safely with their children.
