BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials in Brown County say a 14-month investigation led to a mass operation on Wednesday that saw 11 search warrant executions and 15 arrests of alleged drug traffickers tied to Mexican cartels.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office reported that the Drug Task Force worked with Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group’s Drug Unit on 11 search warrants in the following locations:
- Bellevue
- Green Bay
- Lawrence
- Neenah
The operation was made as part of an investigation that officials say had gone on for over a year, as the Brown County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were seeking individuals involved in a large drug trafficking group tied to Mexican cartels.
The drug trafficking group, officials say, was responsible for large distributions of cocaine and marijuana throughout northeast Wisconsin. 15 people were arrested on Wednesday during the search warrant actions.
Officials seized the following items:
- Two kilograms of cocaine
- Seven pounds of marijuana
- 21 guns
- Two vehicles
- $28,400

23 additional arrests were made over the course of the 14-month investigation, with additional seizures of the following items:
- 1.2 kilograms of cocaine
- 38 pounds of marijuana
- Six guns
- $18,100
Officials added that more arrests are possible in the future relating to this operation.
