(WFRV) – In an attempt to give clarification about a specific detail of an ongoing homicide investigation, authorities provided more information.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Office released some clarification regarding the ongoing homicide investigation. Late last week, authorities identified the suspect in the shooting as 74-year-old Brent Hofman.
Authorities released more information, saying they have no information or evidence to suggest that the incident was related to hunting activities, land disputes or any conflict over property.

The alleged shooting happened on November 12 as authorities were sent to a residence on County Road M.
A dead man was found in a garage after the property was searched. The people involved were connected through ownership of hunting land.
