KENOSHA, Wis. (WFRV) — A large retail operator is preparing to close one of its major Wisconsin facilities, resulting in more than 200 employees losing their jobs early next year.
According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) letter filed with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Kroger will shut down its Pleasant Prairie Fulfillment Center at 9091 88th Ave., eliminating 211 positions.

The facility is expected to begin winding down delivery operations in January 2026 before permanently closing on Feb. 1, 2026.

The letter states employees will continue receiving their regular pay and benefits through Feb. 1, at which point all employment will end. The affected workers are not represented by a union, and no bumping rights apply.
This is the fifth WARN notice issued in Wisconsin in November 2025.
