GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The NFL’s annual My Cause My Cleats initiative is back for 2025, and 45 Packers players are set to take part with customized cleats dedicated to various causes.
Week 14 rivalry matchup between Bears-Packers upgraded, flexed to late-afternoon slot
While players are generally allowed to wear whatever type of cleats they want pre-game, the NFL requires all players during games to wear black, white or team-colored cleats; however, the My Cause My Cleats initiative allows players to forego that rule.
The initiative encourages players and staff alike to customize their gameday cleats to raise awareness about a cause of their individual choice, supporting nonprofits dedicated to them.
Many of the causes that Packers players have chosen to support and raise awareness for vary from cancer research to mental health and suicide prevention to supporting youth programs.
The program has been around since 2016 and enters its 10th season in 2025. The following Packers players are participating, with a link to the website of each nonprofit listed (if available):

Following the campaign, fans are invited to bid on game-worn cleats if players choose to auction them off, with all funds going towards the charity of their choice.
