Fond du Lac deputies identify 20-year-old killed in head-on Waupun crash

WAUPUN, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities with the Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Office have provided an update on Saturday’s deadly head-on crash that killed a driver and injured another.

According to a release, the driver who was killed at the scene of the crash was identified as 20-year-old Alexa J. Dunn of Menomonee Falls.

The incident happened around 1:45 a.m. on March 1 on Highway 26 near Neitman Road in Waupun.

Deputies say that Dunn’s vehicle was southbound on Highway 26 when she allegedly crossed over the centerline and hit a northbound commercial vehicle head-on.

Deputies say that it was reported that Dunn’s vehicle was unable to maintain its lane before the crash. In the release, deputies noted that alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
