OCONTO FALLS, Wis. (WFRV) – Governor Tony Evers visited Oconto Falls on Monday to tour The Wellness Compound Post, a facility that received a $50,000 grant as part of a $10 million investment in veteran services.
During his visit, Evers emphasized the importance of mental health support for Wisconsin’s veterans.

“We’ve got 300,000 veterans in the state of Wisconsin,” Evers said. “We have to make sure we treat them well and make sure that they get the mental health services that they need.”
Evers’ proposed executive budget for the next two years includes significant funding for veteran homes and health care.
