‘Training very hard’: Packers QB Jordan Love talks about charity softball game, new WRs

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The 25th Packers Charity Softball Game is right around the corner, and Green Bay’s QB1, Jordan Love, discussed the upcoming event that marks his first time hosting the tradition.

On Friday, May 23, stars of the Green & Gold will showcase their athleticism on the diamond with proceeds going to a great cause, Love’s ‘Hands of 10ve Foundation.’

The 2025 Packers Charity Softball Game that pits the offense against the defense will mark the first time (and hopefully many more) that Jordan Love hosts the event.

“Hopefully, we can get as many fans as possible out there,” Love began during a press conference on Wednesday. “It’s going to be another awesome event, another awesome year. I know the players are excited to get out there and show off their softball skills. We’ve been working and training very hard to get ready for this game.”

Doors at Neuroscience Group Field will open at 5 p.m. that Friday, with the home run derby beginning at 6 p.m. and the softball game at 7 p.m.

Love also talked about his newest weapons on offense after the 2025 NFL Draft, including two wide receivers taken in the top three rounds.

“I talked to them while they were doing rookie mini camp this past weekend,” Love began. “I shot those guys a text after they got drafted, congratulating them, and telling them we’re ready to get to work. Next week, when they get back to the building with us, we will have some more communication and be able to see what those guys are all about, but I’m excited to get to work with them.”
