Fans enjoy 25th edition of Packers charity softball game

GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) – There was a lot to love at the 25th edition of the Green Bay Packers Charity softball game on Friday night.

Packers quarterback Jordan Love hosted the event which took place at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute. On the field, the offense beat the defense 6-4. But, this is one of those events that is about much more than the final score of a softball game.

The event raised money for Love’s ‘Hands of 10ve’ Foundation. About 5000 people showed up to the game on Friday night.

“Hands of 10ve’ foundation, I wanted to contribute to that too,” said Packers fan Aaron Davis. “I love Jordan Love, what he’s doing for the team and what he’s doing for the community.”

Many fans tailgate in the parking lot ahead of the first pitch. They said Friday was a chance to get a little taste of a Packers gameday atmosphere during the long offseason.

Longtime host and former Packers wide receiver Donald Driver was also at the game on Friday night. He didn’t play this year, but said that he wanted to be there to support Love and to get to hang out with all the Packers fans.
