SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities say two people were hurt following a gunfight Wednesday afternoon in Sheboygan County, with a suspect being arrested following a brief police pursuit.
According to a release from the Sheboygan Falls Police Department, officers responded at 4:15 p.m. to a home on the 400 block of Giddings Avenue for reports of two people suffering multiple gunshot wounds.
Once on the scene, police say they found two victims, a 67-year-old man and a 39-year-old man. Both victims were flown by helicopter to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officials say both men are expected to survive.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a 24-year-old man had gone to the home armed with a handgun and confronted the 39-year-old man before firing several rounds at both victims.
The 39-year-old victim was able to retrieve a handgun of his own to fire back at the suspect, but did not hit the suspect with any bullets.
The 24-year-old fled the area in a vehicle before police arrived. He was found in Ozaukee County, where a brief pursuit ensued before later taken into custody.

The suspect is now being held at the Sheboygan County Detention Center on the following charges:
- Recklessly Endangering Safety
- Endangering Safety by Use of a Dangerous Weapon
- Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
The suspects and the victims are said to be known to each other. Police say the disturbance was an isolated incident, and no one other than the victims was hurt.
No other information is available at this time, and an investigation is ongoing.
