Each year, the event helps to raise thousands of dollars for good causes in the community.
“I’ve lived and worked in different communities, and this community will always be my home from now on,” said Michelle Dahlke, with ‘Hands Across De Pere,’ an organization that helps families and children in the two De Pere school districts. “The amount of support and the number of people who just give is just amazing.”
“There are so many deserving local veterans who should still get their chance to come do this (take an honor flight), and having the support of the Flamingos and being in front of everybody (is huge). Buy raffle tickets and help these guys to D.C.,” said Steve Trinkner, who is on the board of directors for ‘Old Glory Honor Flight.’
