DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – The De Pere Area Chamber of Commerce hosted an interactive event on Thursday evening, as first responders and community members gathered to foster new connections.
The event, titled Connecting Community: Meet Your First Responders, was held in the West De Pere High School parking lot from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. as locals got the chance to talk with responders and interact with their equipment.

Not only did first responders provide real-world examples and demonstrations of how they work to serve and protect the community, but there were also photo opportunities for residents and their first responders to grab some memorable moments.
Face painting, bounce houses and meetings with local companies to learn about their impact on De Pere also starred at the event, as the community celebrated for a fun night of connections.
