MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – A search warrant carried out by the Milwaukee Police Department’s District 5 Violent Crime Reduction Team led to a major drug and weapons bust earlier this week.
According to officials, officers recovered more than 278 grams of cocaine, 1,347 grams of marijuana, a semi-automatic handgun, a large amount of U.S. currency, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. One person was arrested in connection with the search.

District 5 officers focus on high-crime areas of Milwaukee and frequently partner with state and federal agencies to carry out these investigations.
Authorities have not released the identity of the suspect at this time, and charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
