WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials in Wisconsin are investigating the deaths of two men around 1 a.m. on Halloween as homicides.

The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department reported that officers were called to a report of a person in an emergency room at an Aspirus Hospital.
Officers arrived and found a 34-year-old man dropped off at the emergency room with life-threatening injuries. The man was pronounced dead by hospital staff after life-saving efforts.
Other Wisconsin Rapids Police Officers responded to a report of a disturbance around the same time in the 500 block of 11th Street South, where a 56-year-old man had life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical responders.
Officials with the Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation, Wisconsin Crime Laboratory and Wood County Sheriff’s Office are assisting the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department in the investigation.
Police in Wisconsin probing suspicious activity caught on trail cam
Officials say that one suspect is in custody as of noon on October 31, and that there’s no known threat to the community. Detectives have reportedly identified and interviewed numerous witnesses.
Officials did not specify if the two deaths are related.
