DUNN, Wis. (WFRV) – One man has died at the hospital after deer likely caused a motorcycle accident in southern Wisconsin Tuesday evening, authorities said.
According to a release from the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, officials were notified at 4:41 p.m. of a motorcycle crash with potential injuries on the N1500 block of 420th Street in the Township of Dunn.
Dunn County deputies, the Menominee Fire and Rescue, and Mayo One Helicopter responded to the scene where a motorcycle was found crashed with a man lying in the roadway.

Authorities say the man was driving his motorcycle south on 420th Street when he tried to put the bike down in an attempt to avoid the deer that were in the roadway
The 55-year-old man was traveling alone and was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was taken to the hospital by helicopter, where he later died at 6:05 p.m.
The name of the driver is being withheld pending notifications to his family. No other information is available at this time and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
