7-year-old in Wisconsin struck by vehicle in alleged hit-and-run, police investigating

WAUKESHA, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in southern Wisconsin are reportedly looking for information on a hit-and-run incident where a driver allegedly hit a 7-year-old.

The Waukesha Police Department says it is investigating a hit-and-run accident that happened on May 5 around 4:30 p.m. The incident reportedly happened in the 1100 block of North Bel Ayr Drive.

Officials say that a vehicle hit a 7-year-old and fled the scene. It is also mentioned that it is ‘highly likely’ that the driver knew they hit the child.

Authorities are asking for the community to help identify any possible ride shares, food delivery app services or other specialized deliveries by a passenger car that would have happened at the time of the incident. The timeframe of the delivery would have reportedly been between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
