SHAWANO, Wis. (WFRV) – A new chapter is beginning for Shawano’s veterans as the Shawano VFW Post 2723 breaks ground on a modern 3,280-square-foot facility designed to better serve those who have served our country.
The new building will feature a warming room for gatherings, an outdoor patio, and bi-folding partition walls to create flexible meeting and event spaces. It will also include essential storage areas, dedicated office space, and fully accessible entrances and restrooms for individuals with disabilities.
The facility is being developed in partnership with Bayland Buildings, Inc., an employee-owned construction company based in Wisconsin.
This collaboration highlights a shared commitment to supporting veterans and creating a welcoming, functional space for VFW members and the wider Shawano community.
The project reflects the ongoing mission of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW): to serve veterans, their families, and the communities they call home. Construction is expected to be completed by Fall 2025.
Community members are invited to join in celebrating the groundbreaking of this important project, a step forward in honoring the service and sacrifice of local veterans.
