Early Wednesday morning, we are getting reports of a few inches of snow for northern communities, while much of the Fox Cities and lakeshore showed about one inch or less in the grass following some melting. There may be some slippery roads where temperatures are cooler to the north, while many will commute to work and school with wet roads and minor slush.
If your county is under a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY, it will expire between 9am and 1pm depending on where you live. That is for slippery roads and additional snow accumulations in the morning.
A mix of snow, sleet, and rain for the morning hours Wednesday, then a transition to all rain as temperatures warm. Cloudy and windy for many hours this afternoon with some dry time, but some additional isolated or scattered thunderstorms may form in the late afternoon. We’ll watch for a small chance of hail or a damaging winds within any storms, and keep you alerted on air and through the Storm Team 5 Weather App if a storm happens to become severe.
