Beloved Busch Light flavor is back — but for a limited time

(NEXSTAR) — Flavored beer is nothing new. From peach to frozen pizza, a quick walk through any beer cooler or liquor store may present you with any number of unique options. There is one flavor, beloved but limited in supply, that is making a comeback: Busch Light Apple.

Busch rolled out the apple option in 2020 but hasn’t been on shelves since 2022 — something Busch fans have not been quiet about.

Citing a slew of comments on its social media posts, as well as entire online communities dedicated to the loss of the beer, Busch announced the temporary return of Busch Light Apple on Tuesday.

“So you’re saying I can drink the 2 cans I saved from a few years ago????” one user wrote on X following the big reveal. “Got mine today,” another user shared alongside a photo of at least four cases of Busch Light Apple. Yet another user shared a photo of 11 30-packs of the limited-edition lager.

Like all good things before it, the availability of Busch Light Apple will come to an end. Anheuser-Busch said cases can be found at retailers nationwide starting in May and while supplies last.

Why does beer taste better cold?

To emphasize just how important stocking up on Busch Light Apple is, Anheuser-Busch tapped Ronald Wayne, the Apple co-founder who left before the company’s massive success with just $800 for his 10 percent stake, for their ad campaign.

“Fans should stock up now before this apple season ends and it’s too late to get their hands on the delicious beer,” the company said Tuesday.

“This is one opportunity I’m not letting slip away,” Wayne said in a video posted to Busch’s social media on Tuesday.
