Fix A Leak Week: Tips from Wisconsin DNR to conserve water and save money

(WFRV) – In recognition of the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Fix A Leak Week from March 17th through the 23rd, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is urging residents to address household water waste through timely leak repairs.

According to a press release from the DNR, nationwide, household leaks can waste over 1 trillion gallons of water annually, leading to significant financial losses for consumers.

The DNR says that fixing these leaks not only conserves water but also prevents potential damage to homes and belongings. To assist residents, the EPA says they recreated a Fix A Leak Week webpage that offers important resources for identifying and repairing common leaks.
