(WFRV) – For the first time in 35 years, the #1 Freedom boys basketball program will play for a state championship on Saturday.
After a dominating 66-32 victory over #4 Elk Mound in the state semifinal, the Irish punched their ticket to the division three title game where they’ll take on #2 Milwaukee Academy of Science Saturday afternoon at the Kohl Center in Madison.
Senior Drew Kortz and sophomore Donovan Davis set the tone early scoring 27 points each in Thursday’s semifinal win.
