Freedom boys basketball headed to state for first time since 1990

(WFRV) – For the first time in more than three decades, the Freedom boys basketball team is headed to the state tournament.

The Irish defeated conference rival Little Chute in the sectional final to punch their ticket to the big dance. Freedom enters the state tournament as the No. 1 seed in Division III and will take on No. 4 Elk Mound on Thursday, March 20, at 1:35 p.m.

This marks Freedom’s third-ever trip to state, with its last appearance coming in 1990 when the Irish won their lone title.
