(WFRV) – For the first time in over three decades, the Freedom boys basketball program is headed to the state tournament.
The Irish defeated conference rival Little Chute in the sectional final to punch their ticket to the big dance. Freedom enters the state tournament as the #1 seed in division three and will take on #4 Elk Mound on Thursday, March 20 at 1:35 p.m.
This will be Freedom’s third ever trip to state with the last time coming in 1990 when the Irish won their lone title.
