(WFRV) – Golfers in northeast Wisconsin are getting an early start to the season as some courses open for walking only while others remain closed, waiting for the frost to fully thaw.
Golf courses open for walking only:
- Irish Waters (N4265 Murphy Rd, Freedom)
- Hilly Haven Golf Course (5911 CR-PP, De Pere)
- Village Green Golf Course (2456 Glendale Ave, Howard)
- Ledgeview Golf Course (3149 Dickinson Rd, De Pere)
- Crystal Springs Golf Course (N8055 French Rd, Seymour)
Golf course allowing carts:
- Wander Springs Golf Course (4342 Wayside Rd, Greenleaf)
Courses that remain closed:
- Brown County Golf Course
- Thornberry Creek at Oneida
- The Woods
- Royal Scot Golf Course
- Mid Vallee Golf Course
- Northbrook Golf

Many closed courses say they are close to opening as they wait for further thawing. With warmer temperatures ahead, golfers in northeast Wisconsin could be back on the fairways in just a few weeks. Time to dust off those clubs!
