Green Bay man arrested in connection to overdose death in Freedom

FREEDOM, Wis. (WFRV) – A 49-year-old Green Bay man has been arrested in connection with the overdose death of a 43-year-old man in Freedom.

According to the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a residence in the Town of Freedom on Nov. 3, 2024, after family members discovered the man deceased from a suspected drug overdose.

Investigators gathered intelligence and evidence at the scene, leading them to identify a suspect who allegedly supplied the fentanyl. Following an extensive investigation, authorities traced the source of the fentanyl back to Jake Reinhard, 49, of Green Bay.

Reinhard was taken into custody in Green Bay on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, and is currently being held at the Outagamie County Jail. He faces a charge of first-degree reckless homicide/delivery of drugs.
