Kitchen fire in Neenah apartment building causes more than $30,000 in damages, all residents evacuated safely

NEENAH, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials with the Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue responded to a fire at an apartment building in Neenah on Tuesday morning, citing at least $30,000 in damages.

According to the Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue, the fire was reported in a kitchen at a four-unit apartment building in the 1000 block of Cecil Street around 10:30 a.m.

A crew was already doing neighborhood inspections nearby and quickly arrived on the scene.

The fire reportedly caused ‘significant’ damage estimated at over $30,000 to one upper unit. Some water was transferred to the unit below; however, no damage was reported outside.

All residents, including pets, escaped the building safely. No additional details were provided.
