MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – The Manitowoc Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a dog and locating its owner after a biting incident in the city.
The incident occurred near Lower Schuette Park, 3800 Broadway St., between 1:30 and 2:00 p.m. on Monday. According to police, the victim was walking a dog when another unsupervised dog approached. The victim attempted to read the collar tags on the dog when they were bitten.

The attacking dog is described as brown and black with long hair, resembling a German Shepherd. The dog was wearing a collar with tags, though the collar’s color or type is unknown.
