OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – An Oshkosh man who was convicted of sexual assault multiple times in the 1990s has been federally indicted on five counts of allegedly receiving obscene depictions of child sex abuse.
Richard G. Frohling, the Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, announced that 52-year-old David Dejanovich was federally indicted for allegedly receiving child sex abuse materials in April 2024.

The indictment further alleged that he received the material as a person who is required to register as a sex offender. Dejanovich was also charged with one count of receiving child pornography.
If convicted, he would face a mandatory 15 years of prison time and up to 40 years in prison per count. If he is proven to be a sex offender, he would face an additional 10 years of mandatory prison time with the obscenity charges.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Corrections’ official sex offender registry, Dejanovich was convicted of sexual assault in Dodge County multiple times in the 1990s.
