KEWASKUM, Wis. (WFRV) – A driver was arrested for their fourth OWI offense after a pursuit that reached roughly 80 mph ended in Fond du Lac County with a crash into a ditch.
A release from the Kewaskum Police Department states that on March 11, officers were warned of an erratic driver by a witness. The witness spotted the vehicle heading north on Fond du Lac Avenue in Kewaskum and believed that the driver may have been intoxicated.

A responding officer caught up with the vehicle on Fond du Lac Avenue and reported that it was “all over the road” and “hit the curb several times.”
A traffic stop was attempted but the vehicle reportedly sped away at speeds that reached roughly 80 miles per hour. The driver continued north on Hwy 45 into Fond du Lac County before spinning out and crashing into a ditch.
Officers say the driver was not hurt in the crash and was subsequently arrested for Fleeing and Eluding, OWI – Fourth Offense, Driving on a Revoked License, and various other traffic violations.
Two suspects arrested after vandalizing church in Wisconsin
Criminal charges were requested with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol was called in to help the Kewaskum Police Department with the investigation.
