LEON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Waushara County have provided an update on the skeletal remains found on March 13, including identifying them as belonging to a 33-year-old woman.
According to the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office, the skeletal remains found in the Town of Leon were positively identified as Tiffeny M. Schneider.
Authorities initially found the remains around 5:20 p.m. that Thursday in the area of County Road EE between Blackhawk Avenue and 26th Court.

On March 17, the remains were positively identified through the assistance of the Waushara County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Department of Criminal Investigation with the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
It was noted that the investigation is still ongoing, and more information will be released as soon as it is available.
