Skeletal remains found in Waushara County positively identified, name to be released later

LEON, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials in Wisconsin have positively identified the skeletal remains found on Thursday in Waushara County.

According to an updated release, the remains were positively identified on Monday through the assistance of the Waushara County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Department of Criminal Investigation with the Wisconsin Department of Justice

The skeletal remains were reported around 5:19 p.m. on Thursday in the area of County Road EE between Blackhawk Avenue and 26th Court in Leon.

A ccording to the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office, the name of the individual will be released at a later time.
