Spring-like weather locking in for the rest of the week

The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…

Light snow showers will be over the northwoods as Wednesday begins, but that weather will quickly fade away, and most will end up seeing the sun for many hours today. Temperatures continue to stair-step upward this week, with maximum readings hitting the 60s by Friday! Everyone will get some rain again at night on Friday into early Saturday. It’s also possible to hear your first rumbles of thunder this year at that time!

Early flakes over the northwoods Wednesday morning before 9am, then skies turn mostly sunny as some thin, wispy clouds roll over the state. Highs will be in the upper 40s and lower 50s, except near Lake Michigan where a chilly southeast winds from the water will keep highs in the upper 30s and lower 40s. The same may be for the west side of Lake Winnebago.

Tonight, thin clouds and stars and calm winds. The low is 30 degrees.

Mostly sunny and warmer Thursday with upper 50s and lower 60s. Once again, a bit cooler near the lake and bayshore.

Gusty winds on Friday as temperatures warm well into the 60s! Late at night, mainly after 9pm, a line of showers and embedded thunder will roll through Wisconsin.

Windy weather Saturday as gusts will be pushing 40 mph or higher. It will still be warm around 61 degrees, but there will be plenty of clouds and some hit or miss rain showers during the day.

A few isolated to scattered snow showers could be with us Sunday morning – accumulations under 1″ for those who get snow. Gusty winds continue with a high of 40 degrees in the afternoon.
