MARINETTE, Wis. (WFRV) – Two people from Green Bay were arrested after an investigation into a shots-fired call in Marinette on Thursday morning.
According to the Marinette Police Department, the county dispatch received several 911 calls around 2:52 a.m. on Thursday reporting gunshots near Cottage Row and Hattie Street in Marinette.
A preliminary investigation deemed that a home in the area was hit by gunfire, and the officer learned that a disturbance involving people at the targeted residence had taken place before.
Officers later found a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man, both from Green Bay. Both were arrested near the 2700 block of Doran Street in Oconto and are at the Marinette County Jail pending formal charges.
Charges related to the incident are pending through the Marinette County District Attorney’s Office for a 19-year-old Oconto woman.
No additional details were provided as the investigation continues. Police say no active threat is present as the incident was isolated.
