University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh’s women’s gymnastics team sent off to National Championship by fans, family & friends

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Athletic Department hosted a special send-off for their champion women’s gymnastics team, as they head to the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championships.

Friends, family and supporters gathered at the Kolf Sport Center on Thursday afternoon to applaud the team as they make their way to Saint Peter, Minnesota on Saturday looking to win a fourth straight NCGA title.

The Titans are coming off a few weeks of competitive rest, having won their fifth consecutive and 19th overall Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship in program history.

The women’s gymnastics team earned the title with a 193.925-point performance in La Crosse on March 8.

Led by their stars and WIAC Kwik Trip Gymnast of the Year Delaney Cienkus, and individual champions Amaya McConkay and Jay Ratkowski. Oshkosh also brings 2024 individual champion Mia Lucero and All-American Reanna McGibboney to the mats for the national championship.

The National Championship will occur on Saturday at Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, Minnesota.
