MADISON, Wis. (WFRV) – A 25-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested after accidentally shooting himself in the hand, causing a bullet to enter an adjacent hotel room.
According to the Madison Police Department, officers responded to a hotel in the 2800 block of Coho Street shortly before 5 p.m. on Sunday after the man called for help, unable to stop his injury from bleeding.

The bullet traveled into a neighboring room where a man and woman were sleeping. Neither were injured, though the round damaged a chair and nightstand.
During a search of the suspect’s hotel room, officers discovered a firearm, ammunition, cocaine, methamphetamine, and assorted drug paraphernalia.
The suspect, Walker Morledge, was arrested on multiple charges, including endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of nitrous oxide, bail jumping, second-degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of fentanyl, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession with intent to deliver drugs.
The investigation remains ongoing.
