Wisconsin man arrested after allegedly robbing gas station

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) – A 45-year-old Wisconsin man was taken into custody on Tuesday morning after he allegedly robbed a gas station.

Shortly before 6 a.m., officers with the Janesville Police Department were sent to the Mobil Gas Station at 951 N. Washington St. for a report of a robbery.

The suspect, later identified as Danny Kvistad of Janesville, left before officers arrived, but witnesses were able to obtain license plate information from the vehicle.

No one was injured during the robbery, but Kvistad reportedly left with an undetermined amount of cash.

Shortly after the robbery, officers located Kvistad’s vehicle in the 800 block of Prairie Avenue in Janesville. The officers then located Kvistad at a residence in the same area and he was taken into custody without further incident.

He was transported to the Rock County Jail for robbery with threat of force, a felony charge.
