Wisconsin officers rescue a dozen ducklings who fell through sewer grate

GRAFTON, Wis. (WFRV) – Every day can be drastically different from the other for an officer out on patrol, and after officers in southeast Wisconsin rescued 12 ducklings from a sewer grate on Friday, that statement holds true.

Officers with the Grafton Police Department got their ducks in a row on April 18.

Sergeant Fuerstenberg and Officer Brandt were called to an area behind the local Pick ‘n Save for a report of ducklings that had fallen into a sewer grate drain.

Twelve ducklings in total were rescued by Sergeant Fuerstenberg and Officer Brandt. A 13th duckling that had fallen in reportedly found its own way to safety.
