Wisconsin woman with four active warrants arrested for OWI after police pursuit, fentanyl recovered

(WFRV) – A 32-year-old Wisconsin woman was arrested on Monday morning after engaging officers in a police pursuit that stretched two counties.

According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Olyvia Couillard of Milwaukee was seen by a deputy in Columbus driving a vehicle with an equipment violation around 3:39 a.m. on Monday. Couillard ignored an attempted traffic stop, thus a pursuit began.

Couillard fled into Dane County, and after the Sun Prairie Police Department deployed deflation tools, she struck a tire deflation device, which caused at least three flat tires. She continued northbound and ignored traffic signs.

She ignored another red light and crashed into a vehicle around Highway 19. Couillard ran from the scene on foot, and a deputy quickly caught her and arrested her. The people in the struck vehicle were checked for minor injuries.

Couillard was deemed to be impaired, and officers found fentanyl and other drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. She awaits a hearing for these charges:

  • Resisting/Obstructing
  • Narcotics possession
  • Drug paraphernalia possession
  • Felony bail jumping
  • Two Dane County warrants
  • Jefferson County warrant
  • Columbia County warrant
  • 1st Operating While Intoxicated
